Temple of Hathor, Denderah is a Greco-Roman temple complex was known in ancient Egyptian as Lunet or Tantere. The modern Arab town is built on the ancient site of Ta-ynt- netert, which means 'She of the Divine Pillar.
The Dendera Zodiac is a Egyptian bas-relief from the ceiling of the pronaos (or portico) of a chapel dedicated to Osiris in the Hathor temple at Dendera, containing images of Taurus (the bull) and Libra (the scales). Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & West Bank Temples of Hathor (Day 4)
09:00 Deir el-Bahari & Queen Hatshepsut, Temple of Hathor and earlier Middle Kingdom pyramid site. Hatshepsut (c.1473–1458 BC), the queen who became Pharaoh, built a magnificent temple at Deir al-Bahari, on the west back of Luxor. It lies directly across the Nile from Karnak Temple, the main sanctuary of the god Amun. Hatshepsut’s temple, Djeser-djeseru “the Holy of Holies” was designed by the chief steward of Amun, Senenmut.
